Red Fox HS1 It's been a long while since I've drawn
a fox so I opened up
ArtRage 2 and did this one in just under 4 hours.
Wolves in the Forest
This work was done with
ArtRage 2 over the space of about 4 months. It was a great
learning experience because I learned how to make consistent
progress even though I had scheduled several ambitious projects at
the same time.
The Furocious Chipmunk™
This is the original Furocious
Chipmunk™ first in
the Furocious Chipmunk™ series. This was actually my first
acrylic piece back in 1987. I remember when I was a young boy
being told nary to wander off into the forest lest a furocious
chipmunk come carry me away.
Mexican Wolf HS1 This
is my first work using
ArtRage 2. It was referenced from one of the Mexican
Wolves at Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek Michigan, USA After
creating this image I then realized that I would soon step back into
my role as an artist. Thank you Ambient Design for an awesome
digital paint program!
Kentucky Wolf This was
a watercolor and watercolor pencils painting I did after I moved
back from Kentucky.
St Andrew's Flag I
painted this image in
ArtRage 2 soon after we came back from the
Wisconsin Scottish Highland Games. My family has a proud
Scottish heritage from the McNeils of Barra. After that trip
my son went on and on about the "X
flag" so I couldn't resist making this image for a wallpaper
on our computer.
Spiritual Warfare"Put on the
whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles
of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places." Ephesians 6:11-12 KJV
This is a project I was working on back in 1996. The original
was made into scripture memory cards as part of a series of cards
referencing the armor of God. After I got the
ArtRage 2 program I
decided to make a full size version. The original cards were
done with color pencil, this image was done with
ArtRage 2 using the
pencil settings.
Furocious Knight This is an
image done for the cover of the first episode to be released of my
upcoming Furocious Epic™.
This project was over 18 years in the making when I did this image
in ArtRage 2.
Furocious Knight Detail 1 I
liked this detail from Furocious Knight so much I decided to
offer it as a print.
Wolf Sequence 001b This is
one of a series of prints I'm doing. Again this was done with
ArtRage 2. And it
is referenced from the Mexican wolves at Binder Park Zoo in Battle
Creek Michigan.
Wolf Sequence 002 This
work was done over about three months. I am featuring several
different poses to add to the interest to the collective
compositions. This wolf is caught in mid-stretch.
Wolf Sequence 003 I love the Mexican Wolves at Binder
Park Zoo. It's great to catch a glimpse of pack life with each
visit. Currently there are 5 wolves at the zoo.
In the wolf sequence series I'm not trying to capture the look of
each one though that would be a great idea for the future. After a
while you begin to distinguish the individual wolves. If you watch
long enough you even begin to see their personalities come to light.
With the wolf sequence project am just going through interesting
poses from my reference photos and videos.
